MINUTES OF APRIL1, 2008
I. Meeting Convened:
A: Now on this 7th day of April, 2008 this regular meeting of the Catoosa Public Works Authority was called to order by Chairman, Rita Lamkin at 8:58 P.M.
B: Roll Call: The following trustees were present for this meeting: Penny Chambers, Sandy Myers, Robert Brown, Linda Paylor, Cathie Langston, Mike Appel, Rita Lamkin, Chairman and Tim Studebaker, City Attorney.
The following staff members were present for this meeting: Judy Scullawl, City Clerk; R.J. Phillips, Administrative Assistant, and Al Pringle, PWA Director/Maintenance Supervisor.
C: Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Mike Appel and seconded by Penny Chambers to approve the minutes for March 17, 2008 pre- and regular meeting. The motion passedwith the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Robert Brown-aye, Linda Paylor-aye; Cathie Langston-aye; Mike Appel-aye; Rita Lamkin-aye.
D: Approval of Claims: A motion was made by Sandy Myers and seconded by Penny Chambers to approve the claims as listed and as read for PWA and Stormwater with the correction to pay A&B Fence Company for fence at HathawayPark in the amount of $3,129.00 from the PWA Maintenance and Operations Account. The motion passedwith the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Robert Brown-aye; Linda Paylor-aye; Cathie Langston-aye; Mike Appel-aye; Rita Lamkin-aye.
E: Approval of Financial Statements: A motion was made by Sandy Myers and seconded by Linda Paylor to approve the financial statements for February 2008 conditional upon audit at end of the year. The motion passed with the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Robert Brown-aye; Linda Paylor-aye; Mike Appel-aye; Rita Lamkin-aye.

ITEM #1: Open sealed bids for a Backhoe Loader
The following bids were received and opened by Al Pringle, PWA Director/Maintenance Supervisor.
OTC Equipment Selling Price $ 89,169.28 (includes options)
Warren CAT Selling Price $ 96,605.00 - $104,284.00 (with options)
Keystone Equipment Selling Price $ 99,504.00 (includes options)
ITEM #2: Discussion, consideration and possible action to approve or disapprove the purchase of a backhoe loader.
A motion was made by Chairman Rita Lamkin and seconded by Linda Paylor to postpone the purchase of a backhoe loader to the April 21, 2008 meeting. The motion passed with the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Robert Taylor-aye; Linda Paylor-aye; Cathie Langston-aye; Mike Appel-aye.
IV: NEW BUSINESS: NONE
V: TRUSTEE/STAFF COMMENTS:
Vice Mayor Mike Appel: Asked what the status of the drainage problem on Spunky Creek Drive (McGee residence).
VI: ADJOURN: There being no further business to come before the Catoosa Public Works Authority, a motion was made by Sandy Myers and seconded by Penny Chambers to adjourn (9:14 p.m.).
