Minutes of September 04, 2007
Now on this 4th day of September, 2007 this regular meeting of the Catoosa Public Works Authority was called to order by Chairman, Rita Lamkin.
Roll Call: The following trustees were present for this meeting: Penny Chambers, Sandy Myers, Linda Paylor, Cathie Langston, Mike Appel, Rita Lamkin, Chairman, and Tim Studebaker, City Attorney.
Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Mike Appell and seconded by CathieLangston to approve the minutes of the August 20th, 2007 meeting. The motion passed with the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Linda Paylor-aye; Cathie Langston-aye; Mike Appel-aye; Rita Lamkin-aye.
Approval of Claims: A motion was made by Sandy Myers and seconded by Linda Paylor to approve the claims as listed. The motion passed with the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Linda Paylor-aye; Cathie Langston-aye; Mike Appel-aye; Lamkin-aye.
Item #1: Discussion, consideration and possible action to approve or disapprove the purchase of a new telephone system due to lightning damage, the payment to be allocated from the respective department funds. Moot from the motion that was made in the City Council Meeting to take it all out of the City Emergency Reserve Fund.
A motion to strike was made by Mike Appel and seconded by Cathy Langston. The motion passed with the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Linda Paylor-aye; Cathie Langston-aye; Mike Appel-aye; Lamkin-aye.
New Business: None
Sandy Myers asked how the construction on Cherokee was progressing. And asked how the drainage was going. Mayor Lamkin explained the water is pumped out as needed until completion. Cathie Langston said she has some connections that say that the drainage down there is completely clogged. She does not know where and that person does not want to get involved. But there is besides the drain being clogged that we need to investigate. She thinks something is clogged with dirt mentioned maybe to have Fire Department wash it out. The Mayor suggested Maggie to investigate, but they did not want to work with her. Cathie said she would try to get more details. Mike discussed holes that need to be addressed before the overlay on Cherokee.
Adjourn: There being no further business to come before the Pubic Works Authority; a motion was made by Mike Appel seconded by Linda Paylor to adjourn. The motion passed with the following votes: Penny Chambers-aye; Sandy Myers-aye; Linda Paylor-aye; Cathie Langston-aye; Mike Appel-aye; Rita Lamkin-aye.
