Welcome to Catoosa.
As Mayor and on behalf of the City of Catoosa, I would like to introduce each and every new resident and business to our community and encourage more citizens and businesses to consider moving to our community.
Pride Grows Here - Catoosa has always been a fun family oriented community with a volunteer spirit of working and playing together. With this attitude the results continue to show through community pride in the City Government, Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works and Maintenance Department, Schools, Churches, Businesses, and Recreation.
We dare to dream big. We are one of Oklahoma’s fastest growing communities due to economic growth in commercial and industrial businesses. The Port of Catoosa, the furthest inland navigation channel in the Untied States, is located only one and one-half miles north of the City of Catoosa. The employment opportunities are endless due to the wide diversity of businesses available at the Port and throughout our City.
We take a leap of faith. In encouraging active participation by all our residents, whether it is serving in city government, committees and boards, service organizations or helping with Festivals. Our festivals include Hometown Halloween, Fall Festival, Rodeo Days, the annual Christmas parade, and numerous activities sponsored by school organizations, The Chamber of Commerce, Board of Education and Catoosa Sertoma Club. We have two museums for your enjoyment: The D.W. Correll Museum which features a gem and rock collection from around the world and fabulous vintage automobiles. The Catoosa Historical Society sponsors the history of our hometown, Catoosa. Come visit the famous Blue Whale on route 66.
We encourage citizen participation at City Council meetings with citizen comment periods and we are eager to listen to your ideas, concerns and comments for a better City.
On behalf of our entire community, welcome to Catoosa, a great place to live, work and raise a family now. Come share our community vision of our hometown. It just feels good.
Rita Lamkin, Mayor City of Catoosa
