Come take a walk into the past or down memory lane in the D.W. Correll Museum. You are sure to find something of interest or even inspiring.
The museum consists of three buildings. The first building houses antique automobiles restored by Mr. Correll, and other items of general interest and history like a valuable Texaco gas pump. There is also a collection of antique toy tractors, cars, pickups, etc. on display that were donated by Dan Ward.
The antique automobiles include a 1898 Locomobile (steam engine), 1902 Oldsmobile Run About, 1906 Cadillac, 1914 Dodge Touring Car, 1914 Oldsmobile, 1917 Twin 6 Packard, 1919 Franklin, 1927 Stutz 8, 1930 Model A Ford Convertible, 1944 Ford 4-door and a 1948 Dodge Coupe. All the automobiles are in beautiful condition.
The second building houses an extensive collection of bottles and decanters. The third building contains a rare collection of rocks, gems, minerals and sea shells from around the world. You will also find a fantastic collection of historical newspaper articles.
Hours: The museum will be open Tuesdays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays will be open by appointment only. Please call to make special arrangements for group tours.
