1. Where do I file a police report?

If the crime happened within the city limits of Catoosa you would contact the Catoosa Police Department to file a report. If the crime happened outside the city limits of Catoosa you would need to contact the agency that has jurisdiction where the crime occurred. 

2. What types of fireworks are legal inside the city limits

In order to use fireworks inside the city limits of Catoosa you must obtain a Fireworks permit from Catoosa City Hall, 214 South Cherokee Street.

4. Who do I contact about Animal Complaints?

Animal complaints such as a barking dog are handled by the Catoosa Animal Shelter. They can be contacted at 918-266-2505. You may also file a report on the On-line Report Form

5. Who do I contact if my vehicle has been impounded by the Catoosa Police Department?

If there is no "Hold" on the vehicle you will need to contact the wrecker service used to begin the process of getting your vehicle back. You must be the registered owner. You must bring the title or registration to the wrecker service. You must show proper identification (Photo ID). You will have to pay the wrecker company for the towing and storage of your vehicle.

6. What do I do if someone cut me off in traffic?

If you have the suspect's tag number, a description of the suspect's vehicle, and can positively identify the driver you may have enough information to file charges via a citizen's complaint. Contact the law enforcement agency which has jurisdiction where the crime occurred and ask to speak with a police officer. Never take the law into your own hands. The best course of action concerning an aggressive driver is to let them pass. Never chase someone on the highway. It is dangerous, and rather than helping, you are becoming part of the problem. Many people are killed each year as the result of "Road Rage".

7. If someone owes me money, can I have the police make them pay me back?

There are two kinds of Law in Oklahoma Criminal and Civil. The Catoosa Police Department only can act on criminal laws. The matter of one person owing money to another person or company is considered a Civil matter and you will need to take that person to small claims court. If you think you are the victim of a fraud or another crime, contact the Catoosa Police Department and ask to speak with an officer. 

 

8. I locked my keys in my car, can the police open it?

The Catoosa Police Department no longer provides this service. You will need to contact locksmith to get your vehicle opened.
