This weekend will be the last season for the current Blue Whale Park. Staring September 2nd, due to safety concerns during construction, Blue Whale Park will be closed for renovation. Blue Whale gifts may still be purchased at the D.W. Correll Museum in Catoosa. We are excited to begin the renewal of Blue Whale Park and we hope you continue to follow us for all of the updates. We are thrilled to announce that the renovations at Blue Whale Park will begin soon! Because of upcoming construction, the Blue Whale gift shop has been relocated to the D.W. Correll Museum at 19934 E. Pine St. in Catoosa. The gift shop/museum hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:00am – 7:00pm and Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 10:00am – 5:00pm. There will be no restroom facilities available at Blue Whale Park during renovations. As the park will be an active construction site, please use caution when visiting the Blue Whale. We are excited to begin the next chapter in the Blue Whale’s journey and we are glad you will be taking it with us!

Back in 1902, Catoosa was still considered Indian Territory and wasn't officially platted and surveyed until that year. Thanks to the Oklahoma Historical Society, we can see what that survey looked like in November 1902. Thanks to Google Earth, we can compare what that area looks like today.
